Wicked Witch From The West

I’m the gloaming wicked witch from the west
Stirring tasty pungent pumpkin and cinnamon
Standing in the archway splashed with exuberant
Halloween colors of orange, black and green.

While Tangerine my calico cat purrs and lays
Guarding Mr. Dracula’s oaken crescent box.
I’ll be decorating the archway to please and delight
boys and girls whom enter my cobweb archway.

Only have one more pumpkin smiling to hang,
Near the silver buckle on the extended lifeless branch.

With my sword firmly grasped in my left hand,
For I’ve been spook right out of my wicked wits
By seeing the scary, spooky costumed girls and boys
A crowd of them down yonder, by the rivers side.

I’ve swept away all cobwebs, taken the black pot
off the blazing burning embers; taken it inside the house
To bake several pumpkin pies for charitable gatherings.
As I lay here comfy and cozy reading my harlequin book
I hear the creaking of the hardwood floors

One hellion stands before me____
