I replayed the tune until morning came
Hours lingered with waking dreams
Love can never be the same
The kind only we had shared
our song embedded in sheets
I cradled till dawn
No one ever cared
Or heard the song we write
We played it alone that memorable night
Then morning came; the telephone rang
My dreams turned to nightmares
I knew then and there you were dead
And darkness controlled all light
Reality of truth and dares
Came crashing down too soon
I couldn’t believe it was true
Till it Dawned on Me
Every word our song had said…
