Wrapped my heart into poetry
Let love pass on by
Watched stars wander the sky
and pass on by
Sang songs with birds
nestled in willow trees up high
Still watching love pass on by
Listened to musical sounds
so sweet
Tapped music on keyboards
stomped my feet
Turned out the lights
dreamt musical notes flying by
Waking up continuing to watch
love pass on by
Talked the talk of love
tossed and thrown around
Wrote music for a love
that drifted on by
Satisfied and amused with
love passing on by
strummed threads of
an old guitar love left behind
Still singing while
watching
love pass on by
Wrapping my heart into poetry
once more today
Listening to country music
on the tv tube
Watching the wind
blow chairs out of my front yard
Watching tornadoes
tear roofs off neighbors home
Yet;
I’m still singing
and
watching love pass on by
Knowing;
someday
love won’t pass on by
