Well I'll Be Dammed

I’ve grown old and thoughts are dammed
My mind’s a bitter stagnant jammed up dam

In younger years thoughts rush and flow
With laughter, joys and most of all loves glow

Will I ever be free from the tugging, lingering sore
And peacefully rest in the arms of love once more?

Stuck and frozen in pains grasping clutch
From winters painful and bitter touch

Once fiercely fighting the bitter dams flurry
To weak I’ve lost the battle, death’s the only cure!
