Castle Of Fun Part 2 It was Noon, the morning flashed by quickly A most enjoyable morning spent with the one I loved *** Our next adventure would be the Teen Theme Park. Where all the spooky and most daring rides were. We jumped on skateboards that flew through the air, To a eatery called Hot Dogs and Tomatoes by the bay. We ordered our food, found a picnic table for two, It was painted red with ants crawling up the legs. Trees were filled with colorful birds chirping and singing. The music was blasting out like the good old days. The castle supplied clothing from the past, it was hilarious to dress in a poodle dress And wearing hair in big bubblehead style. Men wore jeans and t-shirts with smokes rolled up in sleeves. Their hair in crew-cuts or Elvis Presley style. We sat there laughing and checking out others around.
Looking and searching in others eyes, trying to
Connect to the past and ending up daydreaming
Of the good times we had in teenage years.
Everyone had grins from ear to ear,
Sitting and staring by the bay. Watching
Seals, whales, colored ducks, flamingos and swans
playing in the warm sun on the bay that afternoon.
All the rides were horrifing, in the Teen park. Some bouncing and tossing everyone around. The tallest rollercoaster ride was inside in a pitch dark building. Riding at speeds unbelievably fast, Climbing slowly up hills then Suddenly dropping to the bottom of the ground, Spinning inside and hanging upside down. Surprised no one was thrown out of their seats.
After all the ecstasy of horror in the park, You could hear the crowds evil laughter. We rode all the rides in the teen park. Feeling somewhat sick and dizzy, yet Still wearing a masquerade grin. We weaved and stumbled to the nearest restroom And found lines where astronomical long. We sat down on the park bench next to the vendor Selling ice cream, popcorn, candy and soda pop. As we sat there eating all the junk food we bought, Our nerves began to unwind and calm down. We looked at each other and could not stop, the laughter as we both looked as pale as ghosts. the voices inside our minds were screaming it was a fun and spooky packed afternoon___ Twinklewriter 2-23-08 (Ballad) |
