Walking towards each other with a smile,
No more distance as we reach that last mile.
The fireplace is all a blaze,
As we feel the warmth staring at each others gaze.
Finally alone, finally face to face,
Both wishing for a lingering embrace.
Not needing to talk knowing how we feel,
Looking with amazement this night is for real.
For the first time we touch, bringing more love to our heart,
We knew it would last from the very start.
As we kissed passionately there is no distance,
This night was full of love with no resistance.
Embracing, loving as we dreamt through this year,
The reality of love had settled our uncertain fear.
We've waited so long for this night,
With all our expectations; it turned out perfectly right.
