I gave you my heart
and you tore it all apart
Why didn't you give it
back the way I gave it to you?
you returned it all
shattered and black and blue
I shed so many tears
I told you all my fears
Why couldn't you have
kissed away my tears?
why couldn't you
wrap your arms around me,
to protect me from the fears?
I gave you friendship
and so much more
you returned it with no feelings
and acted like it was a chore
I will pick up the pieces
you returned broken to me
I will find someone to nurture
me back to health you will see
I will give my heart to someone
more pleasant than you will ever be
I GAVE YOU MY HEART,
I have it back to give to someone
that will love it and cherish it
because its a part of me
